HIGH LEVEL & CLADDING CLEANING

High level encompasses most of everything else we do commercially, from gutter clearing & cleaning, canopy cleaning, window cleaning, skylight cleaning, bridge cleaning & anything else high level.

Cladding cleaning

Cladding cleaning isn’t just cladding cleaning when it’s done by M-CLEAN Services UK. If we can’t pressure wash it, can’t clean it by a water fed pole system and it still won’t clean with a chemical addition we clean it by hand.

We had to clean cladding, by hand, on Sainsbury’s Archer Road, Sheffield (back in 2012), 38 man days to clean three sides. We took it back to it’s original colour, from off white back to sparkling white. the alternative to the client was having it resprayed. We saved them about £40000.00.

Render cleaning & or render restoration is another service that we just know how to handle correctly. From initial phone call, to site survey, to cleaning and handing back the completed project you will know you have dealt with the premier service in this field.

ROOF CLEANING

Is one of our biggest services. It doesn’t add footfall into a supermarket, it puts nothing into the till but it doesn’t half change the look of the store. This is one of those services, that done properly (and we always do it properly) makes the roof look brand new and gives a lighter, cleaner aspect to the entire store.

We’ll let the photos do the talking on this one –

With over 100 roof cleaning projects completed we are the company to call. These weren’t smaller houses, detached properties but great big supermarket roofs.

We clean residential roofs as well. These tend to have been on high end properties in Surrey, Kent, Cheshire and Staffordshire.

Whilst stores traded, with cars & people and everything else going on we got up there, made them like new again and cleaned all the mess up.

  • Foggy February pressure washing in Bromsgrove.

Concrete cleaning & forecourt cleaning in a very foggy Bromsgrove.

Pressure washing to commercial/industrial units for an established client.

Block paved frontages cleaned up really well – as expected & a firm favourite curb edging.

Curb edging cleaning makes a massive difference to any area, when having car parking cleaning carried out always, always, always make sure curb edging is included.

It was like this throughout the weekend – miserable!
One section of the commercial units.
A decent size piece of concrete cleaning, to get stuck into – it came up really well
Tarmac cleaning – this was really quite green, with a reasonable build up of moss & other detritus.
Just about all of the block paving looked like this.
Just a little teaser of the block paving cleaning.
    Block paving cleaning done properly

For commercial pressure washing, for concrete cleaning, for service yard cleaning, for Tarmac cleaning, for block paving cleaning, for concrete slab cleaning, for industrial pressure washing –

we’re current – these aren’t historic jobs, not something we did way back when, they’re just the jobs we do, we get on with it, get the job done, leave you a satisfied client.

If you want commercial pressure washing, want industrial pressure washing don’t call anyone else.

There’s plenty of other companies out there, all claiming to be the best – we’ve never had a complaint, a reason for a client to be unhappy or ever left a job finished badly.

Every time it has to be the very best job possible, it was like that when I started the business back in 2001 & it’s the same attitude 19 years later.

  • Commercial cladding cleaning.

Cladding cleaning is part 2 of the project and the largest part of it.

15 metres high by 180 metres across the back fence is the longest single run on the works. The problem last time and the problem this time – access.

The working space is 1.5 metres at the widest point and down to 1 metre at it’s narrowest. No chance of using any access equipment at either end.

The only way to work on with this is to get underneath it. Get the waterproofs on, extend the lances and think about your ‘happy place’ as all the extra water fountains down, literally right underneath a waterfall.

‘Not too bad you say’, maybe not but wet to the skin within 5 minutes of starting and then spending 7 hours ‘sloshing about’ – happy place!!!!

The cladding was cleaned with a mix of water fed pole cleaning & pressure washing, using extending pressure washing lances up to 45 foot. That takes some holding onto.

    Cladding cleaning – partial.

When commercial buildings are built there seems to be no consideration for future cleaning requirements, the rear access on this one is exactly the amount of a fire escape, it isn’t anyones fault in particular, it’s almost common practise but 10, 15, 20, 25 year old buildings are needing to be cleaned and a level of resourcefulness is needed and a very big ‘happy place’.

The rest of the cladding cleaning on the job is far from a piece of cake but with great access is nowhere near as demanding.

With a 200 metre, 3/4 inch hose from the water outlet being laid around the building to the works area, laid in such a way that it was safely against the building, anywhere it crossed paving, highlighted with cones and across the service yard laid into rubber conduit with further signs highlighting it we could put water on site wherever we were working and not need to move the van. This helped with the cladding cleaning massively.

  • Carpark cleaning/Tarmac cleaning

Carpark cleaning/Tarmac cleaning for a quotation given 18 months ago, a repeat clean – when could it be done?

This is a big job & part of a much bigger quote that included, cladding cleaning, window cleaning, service yard cleaning & the carpark cleaning. We cleaned it 3 years ago and because of the particular location had a lot of moss growth on the Tarmac & a lot of algae build up on the cladding.

One difference this time, the time of year.

On the last clean it was the summer, warm, getting wet wasn’t really a problem. There’s a lot of getting wet on this one but that’s later on in the project.

We knew the weather was going to break but didn’t know exactly when. There were several days of very heavy rain, when you look out of the van window and think ‘Oh no’ and you just have another 5 minutes.

There are jobs that are enjoyable then there are those that seem to really test you – this is a really enjoyable one until we get onto the cladding cleaning at the rear.

So we started off with Tarmac cleaning (approximately 12000sqm), curb edging (4000LM) & concrete walkways (no idea – a lot!), a full service yard clean (approximately 4000sqm) and a tidy up to all areas.

Don’t let anyone tell you that Tarmac cannot be cleaned by pressure washing because it can. It can be damaged by people pressure washing it wrongly or using the wrong size nozzles or turbo nozzles too directly but if you know what you are doing the photos don’t lie.

Don’t forget curb edges – we love curb edge cleaning, it’s like the forgotten part of the carpark. They make all the difference and really highlight the carpark cleaning. What a difference – ‘WOW’

Project carried out in October 2019.

We’ll call this part 1. More to follow.
